Sweet Thoughts for Spring

Friends,

I hope this finds you all well and surrounded by friends and family. Coming in hot off the heels of our Bagelfest Victory, we recently launched some new sweet cream cheese flavors. I know, the traditionalist in you might consider these a shanda. I probably would too, but you know, it’s just so fun to offer silly tasty things. The first one was brought to me by a friend of mine who built the recipe for a twice baked almond croissant flavored cream cheese. It’s sweet and almondy with actual toasted almonds in it for a nice textural crunch.

The second was me acquiescing to the public. We had so many requests for strawberry schmear, we had to try it. Of course, I wasn’t okay with JUST strawberry. I wanted a bit more to it, so our new flavor is strawberry graham cracker. It’s almost like strawberry cheese cake. It goes fast, so we’re upping our production.

As I write this, I’m on the plane, ocoming back from Milwaukee. I’ve been helping my sisters with my ailing parents, packing up my childhood home, and doing a lot of reflecting. Family and friends are all it’s about. I’ve been blessed to be raised in a loving … mostly stable :) … family. I feel doubly blessed to be in another one of my own (hopefully less meshugena). Outside of making a living, building a small business like mine, the developing community or small family is the best outcome I could expect. Not only have I seen my team treat each other like family, leaning on each other, laughing together, supporting each other, but we also get the opportunity to receive support from you all each time you visit. We hope we are providing that to you in return.

In other sky high news, we’re looking at a couple locations for a #2, and possibly #3. One in Seattle, and one on the east side. Getting close to one of them. Definitely a risk, and scares me just as much as opening #1, but you gotta take chances.

Okay that’s it, we have some updates for June so stay tuned

Love,
Andrew
