Pump Up The Jaaaam!
Hey Bagels,
It’s been a while since we were in touch. How’s the family? Have the kids gone off to college? School started nearby? Are you ready for some football? (GO PACKERS!!!). Have you had your fill of bagels yet? I hope not!
We’ve had a great summer. So many fresh faces coming by, and so many regulars. Hard to express how fulfilling it is to see you all, and even better when I receive instagram or direct messages about how much you are enjoying what we do. I’m super lucky to have a team so committed to the product, so willing to support each other, and so eager to make your experience as friendly as possible.

Finally…Pumpernickel
According to vocabulary.com - Pumpern is a German verb meaning "to fart," and Nickel, like Old Nick in English, was a name for the devil, so it actually breaks down as "farting devil."
That’s right! Farting Devil!!! This makes me happy on so many levels. What makes me happier is that after wringing my hands for literally years, worrying about how to make this a great bagel, we’ve finally done it! Currently these beauties are served only on Wednesdays (pump day — get it??), but if the demand continues we’ll expand. Outside of the complexities of the new ingredients, we have found these really shine after 48hrs cold fermentation. Stop by on Wednesdays and let us know what you think!
